From Survival Mode to Forest Flow
.
.
Guided practices for awareness, calm, and nature connection.
Living in survival mode feels like a constant, hollow rush where we react to life and manage the day-to-day. This autopilot mode keeps us disconnected from nature, from each other, and from ourselves.
Like a forest, our inner world includes struggle and competition. Thoughts and emotions arise with different strengths, like species competing for light and space. Balance can be achieved through awareness, not suppression. Noticing what is present and relating to it skillfully. This kind of awareness can be cultivated through mindfulness and through spending time with nature, where the nervous system settles enough for us to turn inward and truly see.
When we cut through the noise and habit, small shifts can ripple outward, supporting a more peaceful and nature-respectful way of being. The seeds of that world already lie within each of us.

“Katrina’s calm guidance through a series of exercises helped me connect deeply with the forest and my own nervous system. I felt at home in the forest, and appreciated the various suggestions to listen with my feet, my breath, and other senses that often stay in the background when I normally walking through the forest. This type of medicine is my favorite: preventative, restorative, reflective. I come away a little softer than I was before.”

Katriina provided a thorough (online) presentation on Forest Therapy for our company to better understand the subject. The presentation seamlessly blended science and psychology principles to support the movement behind forest bathing. Katriina was lovely to work with; accommodating and had very insightful well thought out presentation prepared for us. Hope to learn more from her in the future.
